What is SKM?

A national skills qualification, recognised in Malaysia

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), the Malaysian Skills Certificate, is issued by the Department of Skills Development (Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran, JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia.

SKM training follows the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS), which sets out the competencies a skilled worker needs in a real job, making SKM a practical, career-focused qualification.

According to JPK, SKM, DKM and DLKM are recognised by the Malaysian Government for public service appointments (subject to each scheme of service) and by industry.
